The Nordic Road Association was founded June 19, 1935 at a meeting in Stockholm attended by road engineers from the Nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

PIARC
The World Road Association (PIARC) deals with road infrastructure planning, design, construction, maintenance and operation.

IRF
The International Road Federation is a not-for-profit, non-political service organisation. Its purpose and continuing objective is to encourage better road and transportation systems worldwide and to help apply technology and management practises which will give maximum economic and social returns from national road investments.

CEDR
CEDR was created on September 18th, 2003 in Vienna, Austria as follow up organisation of WERD/DERD.

General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways of Poland
General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways of Poland is the central authority of the government administration competent for the issuses related to national roads.
