| | BRA Structure
| Since 1997 in order to improve its operation, the BRA (at that time - Baltic Road Council) has started to plan the reorganisation of its structure.
To provide more opportunities for private companies and following the practice of other international organisations, the Road Association structure has been taken as the basis for reorganisation.
The Baltic Road Association received its official name at the 24th Baltic Road Conference, held 21-23 August 2000 in Riga, when the Council of the BRA approved the Statutes of the BRA and the leadership commitments were transferred from Latvia to Lithuania.
Baltic Committees and National Committees operating within the BRA are a significant extension to the existing Council, which meets twice a year to discuss the current issues and plans for joint activities.
The BRA has had good contacts with the Nordic Road Association since 1992. At present these two organisations have set up a common working group for organising joint specialised training seminars.
The BRA has 5 committees: Administration committee, Planning committee, Construction committee, Maintenance committee, and Traffic committee.
